Dr. Sheikh Mokhlesur Rahman received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from BUET, followed by a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University. His PhD research focused on applying data mining and machine learning approaches to assess, characterize, and predict chemical toxicity from toxicogenomic data. Currently, he is serving as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at BUET, specializing in Environmental Engineering. His research interests include environmental data analysis using data science, life cycle assessment, pollution management, and sustainable development. Dr. Rahman has also received research grants from Mathworks and contributed to various national and international projects, including water treatment and infrastructure planning in Bangladesh.
