CERM signed an MOU with Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China in March 2018. This collaboration has been established to develop cooperative efforts in applied research, education and capacity building in the fields of water resources and eco-environment. Particular focus of the research are in the water supply and sanitation sector, environmental pollution and eco-system and resource management, assessment of eco-toxicity, industrial water treatment, integrated water resource management and sustainable development, modeling of physical processes in water and environment in urban, coasts and estuaries, rivers and floodplains, software procurement, modeling capacity and lab facility development. This collaboration will promote research projects, technical workshops, training and seminars at both national and international levels. These would facilitate enhancement of knowledge, exchange of ideas and development of new technologies in the relevant fields of water and environment.
