On July 5th, 2025, CERM successfully concluded the certificate awarding ceremony for the professional course on Managing Environmental and Social Risks in World Bank Funded Projects at the Council Building, BUET, Dhaka.
The ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. A. B. M. Badruzzaman, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), as the chief guest. Alongside him, we had esteemed guests including Prof. Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET, and Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, BUET, who attended as special guests. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sheikh Mokhlesur Rahman, Director of CERM, BUET.
Special thanks to Iqbal Ahmed, Senior Environmental Specialist from the World Bank, for his valuable contributions as a special guest at the event.
The event featured insightful speeches from our distinguished guests, followed by the distribution of certificates to the course participants. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Professor Dr. Tanvir Ahmed, Department of Civil Engineering, BUET.
