Dr. M. Khurshed Alam is a Lead Social Scientist and Founding Chairman with extensive experience in social and environmental safeguards. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anthropo-Geography and has over 30 years of experience in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Alam specializes in social safeguard frameworks, with particular expertise in land acquisition, restrictions on land use, and involuntary resettlement in alignment with Environmental and Social Standard 5 (ESS5). His work focuses on ensuring socially responsible project implementation through effective planning, policy integration, and stakeholder-sensitive approaches.
