Syeda Saima Begum is serving as Assistant Inspector General (Safety) at the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. In this role, she is actively involved in promoting workplace safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening occupational health and safety practices across industrial establishments.
Prior to joining DIFE, she worked as an Assistant Engineer at Chattogram Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Chattogram WASA) from September 2013 to October 2016, where she contributed to water supply and infrastructure-related engineering activities. She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
