Dr. A. B. M. Badruzzaman is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), specializing in Environmental Engineering. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering with a focus on environmental studies from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA, in 1992. He earned his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering (Environmental) from BUET, Dhaka, in 1987, and his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from BUET in 1984.
Dr. Badruzzaman’s research interests span multiple areas of environmental engineering, including aquatic chemistry, heavy metal speciation and transport, surface and groundwater quality modeling, water and wastewater treatment, arsenic contamination, solid waste management, environmental impact assessment, and environmental management systems.
