Dr. Annesha Enam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), specializing in Transportation Engineering. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Transportation and Urban Engineering from the University of Connecticut, USA, in 2017. Prior to that, she completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil and Transportation Engineering in 2010 and her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering in 2007 from BUET. Following the completion of her Ph.D., Dr. Enam worked at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), USA, where she was engaged in developing behavioral models to evaluate mobility patterns and energy efficiency of regional transportation systems. She has extensive experience in both academic research and applied transportation studies.
Her research interests include statistical and econometric modeling of traveler behavior, transportation planning, and transportation system simulation. She also focuses on the application of data mining and machine learning techniques for safety and mobility analysis. In addition, her work extends to environmental pollution management and sustainable development within the broader context of transportation systems.
