Sabina Parvin is a Social Development Specialist (ET Consultant) at the World Bank, Bangladesh, with recognized accreditation in the Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and as a Gender Tag Assessor. She brings extensive experience in social risk management, gender inclusion, and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response. She is an experienced development professional with a strong track record in improving the lives of vulnerable populations through strategic and evidence-based interventions. Her expertise includes program management, resource mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and providing leadership and strategic direction across sectors such as disaster management, child protection, governance, and human rights.
She has been actively contributing to GBV program planning and implementation within World Bank-supported initiatives in Bangladesh since 2020. She is also engaged in leading initiatives related to the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) and disaster risk management. Program management remains her core competency, demonstrated through her roles as a manager, coordinator, and specialist across multiple organizations, where she has consistently supported the design and delivery of impactful and inclusive development programs.
