Rimon Chandra Basak served as an STT with the World Bank’s Infrastructure Resilience Policy Unit, South Asia Region, bringing over four years of experience in infrastructure development, environmental and social (E&S) risk management, and project implementation. He has hands-on experience in ESIA preparation, ESMF development, and the formulation of key E&S instruments including ESMPs, RAPs, SEPs, ESCPs, and LMPs in compliance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF).
He has worked closely with implementing agencies to support field-level compliance monitoring, risk tracking, and corrective action planning. His expertise further includes technical supervision, field operations, data analysis, quality assurance, site inspections, and preparation of technical documentation for large-scale development projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
